Markus Haub’s Racing Legends
Cars have the potential to be objects of stunning beauty. Racing cars doubly so.
I love the extremes of design and purpose. And for me, these extremes were at their most aesthetically pleasing in the golden years of motorsport, when an incredible variety of curves, flares, and wild bulges were the norm. Cars like the Super Silhouettes, Ford GT40s, Porsche 935s, and Ferrari 330 P4s.
Markus Haub is a Barcelona-based artist, photographer, and car designer who shares our love of retro motorsport, and has the talent to turn it into art.
His ‘Racing Legends’ collection is a series of works created through a collage of photography, painting and design, mixing digital and practical techniques to create striking and evocative images. Racing cars from the 60s and 70s, cars like the GT 40 or Porsche 356, are the heart of his work.
And it’s truly stunning work. Markus Haub’s skill in photography shines through, providing each image with a strong sense of perspective and composition. Vibrant colours and bold, sophisticated designs make each image pop, and do an excellent job of capturing the strong visual charisma of that era of motorsport.
The collection has been on exhibition in the Cité de l’Automobile, Musée National – Collection Schlumpf in Mulhouse, France, and the Meilenwerk in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Markus Haub is now offering custom orders – send in a photo of a racing car, classic car, or your own pride and joy, and he will create a stunning and exclusive piece of retro motorsport art to hang in your own personal gallery. Or garage. It will look fantastic anywhere.
