Classic Motorsport Inspired Italian Leather Bags
If you’re keen on retro gear then these bags from Caracalla Bagaglio are for you.
The company, owned by motorsports fan Simon Jordan, takes its name from the Terme di Caracalla race circuit in Rome, where Ferrari won its first race in 1947.
Caracalla Bagaglio’s main range is the Commemorative Motorsport Collection, featuring holdalls dedicated to pivotal moments in motorsport history and endorsed by racing heroes such as Sir Stirling Moss, Niki Lauda and Barry Sheene.
The Moss No 7 bag, for example, commemorates Sir Stirling Moss’s victory at Goodwood in 1961 (it was his 7th RAC Tourist Trophy; 7 was also his favourite race car number). My personal favourite is the Barry Sheene bag which sports the colours from Barry’s World Championship winning Suzuki from 1977. If you are into something a bit more subtle I’d suggest the black JPS Lotus Fittipaldi number 6 bag.
All of the bags in the range are handmade from the finest leather in Italy, complete with end-to-end zip and detachable shoulder strap, with the design in the colours of the driver or rider.
The bags measure 57cm x 32cm x 28cm, so you can use them as hand luggage.
Priced at A$560, the bags are exclusively available in Australia from the Classic Throttle Shop.
