Classic Team Lotus Festival 20th June 2010
The Classic Team Lotus Festival at Snetterton presents a unique opportunity to see Team Lotus racing cars spanning more than fifty historic years of history all in the same place at one time, and many will be taking to the track!
Classic Team Lotus have brought together a mouth-watering selection of Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula Junior and sportscars to entertain enthusiasts, but grabbing much of the limelight is sure to be the three most famous Jim Clark racing cars, together for the first and probably only time; the 1963 Championship winning type 25, the 1965 Indy 500 winning type 38 and the 1967 Dutch GP winning type 49.
As if that is not enough you will also see more World Championship-winning Lotus F1 cars driven by the likes of Graham Hill, Jochen Rindt, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ronnie Peterson and Mario Andretti, plus the later cars raced by Mansell, De Angelis and Senna. Aside from the historic Team Lotus displays there will be a full programme of racing to keep you entertained, with rounds of both the action-packed Elise Trophy and Lotus Cup Europe headlining the bill.
If you can tear yourselves away from trackside, there’s plenty to see elsewhere with static displays from Classic Team Lotus and various Lotus owner clubs. There will be a full array of trade stands too, with everything from memorabilia, clothing and models to tuning components.
A thrilling day is assured – don’t miss it!
