At the recent EICMA show in Milan, Husqvarna revealed its new concept called the MOAB, named after the popular riding spot surrounding Utah, called the Moab desert. Husky is billing the bike as it’s “modern re-interpretation of the scrambler”.
The look is inspired by the iconic 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross , famously ridden by Steve McQueen in On Any Sunday. The official blurb states “The red tank, the spacious seat, the yellow side panel number holders, the simple stripped-down frame … these all form the essence of the new incarnation of the Husqvarna spirit.”
The Moab is powered by a 650cc BMW engine housed within a perimeter frame. It includes progressive linkage on the swingarm and comes with 17-inch wheels that sport ‘semi-knobby’ tyres for those trips to the trails on weekends. We like it.
