The 2011 Modeler GP

The Modeler GP is a static scale model building contest held in Japan every year, in which modelers compete to build accurate and beautiful scale models of motorcycles. And it’s packed with absolutely stunning retro machines.

The motorsport community never ceases to amaze me when it comes to the skill, creativity, precision and passion that is invested in expressing a love of the sport and its various elements, and these models are a great example. They cover everything from Honda’s RC166 to modern Moto GP bikes and all sorts of unusual and interesting bikes in between, and are all detailed, intricate and stunningly put together.
