Thirty five years ago Allan Moffat and Colin Bond took a fantastic one-two victory in the 1977 Bathurst 1000. This weekend, Ford Performance Racing will honour that historic victory with one-off retro liveries inspired by their 1977 XC Falcons.

The red, white, blue and black livery will adorn the #5 Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon of Mark Winterbottom and Steve Richards and the #6 Tradingpost FPR Falcon of Will Davison and John McIntyre.

“It’s an honour to go there as a factory Ford driver racing with the colours from arguably the company’s greatest moment.”

Four-time Bathurst winner, Allan Moffat, who, along with teammate Jacky Ickx, was classified first in the 1977 race has given this year’s livery the thumbs up; “There would be nothing better than to repeat that famous 1-2 finish this year with Frosty, Richo and Johnny Mac.”
