Gallery: Ultra rare Group B RX-7

What could be crazier than a ‘regular’ Group B monster? One that did away with pistons altogether.
What you’re looking at is one of the lesser known factory backed Group B rally machines, the 1984 Mazda works RX-7. Built specifically for Group B by Mazda Rally Team Europe in Belgium back in 1983, the SA22C RX-7 was raced by Rod Millen in 1985 – and is now owned by his son Rhys.
Although ultimately uncompetitive due to it’s rear-driven layout and naturally aspirated engine, the Group B RX-7 is an awesome piece of rally history. Check it out –
