The 2014 World Time Attack Challenge was all about the latest and greatest going head to head. Fortunately for the rest of us, there was plenty of old metal in action too…

Take a look at this stunning widescreen gallery courtesy of PixelNerd. We sent him along to the 2014 World Time Attack Challenge with the instructions to capture any and all retro machines in attendance.

He didn’t disappoint. Below you’ll find a gorgeous collection of shots showcasing not only the hero cars which attended, but a few of the more low-key (yet just an interesting!) machines too. Our favorite has to be the Colin Bond Caltex Sierra, said to be the last RS500 ever built.

Of course the ex-Allan Moffat, Peter Stuyvesant SA22C RX-7 is a beauty too, as-is the Gulf GT40. Come to think of it, choosing a favorite is harder than we thought.
