Apart from being jaw-droppingly gorgeous in its iconic Gulf livery, this machine has some great motorsport history behind it. It’s the final example of the iconic sportscar and was campaigned in 1997 by GTC Motorsport’s Gulf Team Davidoff operation as part of a brilliant season-long tiff between the McLarens and Mercedes-Benz AMG.

It raced in six FIA GT World Championship races and scored points in sixth-place finishes in the Suzuka 1,000 Kilometer and again in the final round of the year at Laguna Seca.

Pushing the carbon-fiber monocoque around is a bespoke BMW 6.1-litre 4-cam fuel-injected V12, which you sadly won’t hear howling in this video. You can, however, enjoy its stunning good looks down to the most delicious details thanks to eGarage’s beautiful camera work. Take a minute, and enjoy.
