Group A BMW M3 Flat Out and Full Noise on The Mountain
Bathurst, a Group A BMW M3, pure racing sounds and on the button historic touring car racing. What could be better?
This clip comes from the historic Group C and A touring car races that ran in the lead up to the 2011 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour. We hop on board the #46 Schnitzer BMW M3 as it makes its return to Bathurst after originally running in the inaugural WTCC back in 1987.
That championship would contest two rounds in Australia, the first at Bathurst for the 1987 James Hardie 1000 and then another a week later at Calder Park for the Calder 500.
This car, the #46 Schnitzer BMW M3, would top division two and take second place in the Entrants’ Championship that year, winning the second round, the Jarama 4 Hours in Spain, outright.
The racing is fierce, The Mountain is, as always, spectacular, and the soundtrack is perfect. And that field! Packed with some of the greatest touring car machinery that Bathurst has hosted. Buckle up and enjoy!
